I finished 2024 United States Pro Kart Vice-Champion
Sometimes, things just don’t go your way in racing, and this weekend was one of those times.
After feeling rapid in Thursday practice, a hurricane from the Gulf Coast stretched all the way up to New Castle, Indiana and made for a wet weekend of racing. After doing what I had to and coming away with a P3 in the first heat, we were unfortunately hit with a DQ after a rear width infraction in the scramble to change to a wet setup. From then, I knew we needed something crazy to happen for us to win the championship, which ultimately didn’t happen.
I secured a couple top five results in the remaining heats and finals, but it was not enough. We ended up securing P2 in the championship, which wasn’t our goal but ultimately the end to a very solid season in KA Senior. We finished in the top five in four of the five rounds and were in contention for the win every single time. I’m incredibly proud of the effort put forth, and I had a great time the whole season competing with the Iron Rock Motorsports boys.
