Challenging Weekend at Highlands

The final weekend of the 2026 Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Trophy was an interesting one. I had been excited to get on track at Highlands ever since we confirmed we were running in CTFROT. All the drivers I spoke to had nothing but great things to say about the place, and I was not disappointed when I took the track. I showed some promise in the first practice and was able to carry this into a solid P11 finish in the make up race 3 for the previous round, but struggled to emulate that pace throughout the rest of the weekend. I struggled to activate the tires in qualifying, leading to a Q1 exit and a P16 starting place for the remaining races for the weekend. We struggled mightily for pace in race 1, but made some improvements for race 2 and came home with a P14 finish. The grand prix started out solid, but an unfortunate incident late in the race resulted in a DNF. Overall, an amazing opportunity to participate in such an amazing series and learn from some of the best young talent in racing. Can’t wait to start the FR Americas season in April and try to go back to back on American soil!
